Abstract
The Municipality of Hydra hosts a handover ceremony at the Historical Archive and Museum of Hydra (IAMY) of the Translated Ottoman Archives with References to Hydra before and during the Greek Revolution. The archives were acquired following the initiative of the Mayor of Hydra in 2016 and their translation was carried out by the Centre for Mediterranean Studies in 2021. The topics of the presentations developed by the speakers were: “Hydra from the perspective of the Ottomans: before and during the Greek Revolution”, “Unknown aspects of the history of Hydra through Ottoman records”, “Ottoman documents on the history of Hydra and their significance”.
