Abstract
The students, with the help of their teachers, gathered information, studied folk songs, read a book of children’s literature and created their own individual and group visual compositions on the theme of the 1821 struggle and the heroes of the revolution. The children learned about the personalities of this period, the weapons and the strategy of fighting, as well as Rigas’ Thourios. They also had the opportunity to enjoy a small folklore exhibition in their classroom.
