Abstract
As part of the exhibition "1821 Before and After”, organized by the Benaki Museum, in partnership with the Bank of Greece, the National Bank of Greece and Alpha Bank, educational material was created. The 21 objects that make it up have been selected from the rich material of the bicentennial exhibition, with the aim of shedding light as authentic testimonies on this era, from the middle of the 18th century to the first decades of the newly established Greek state … The educational material seeks to highlight issues that make the Greek revolution an important event without, of course, having the ambition or the ability to exhaust these issues. The 21 items are only a first point of discussion for children and their family or school group.
