Abstract
The second of the workshops of the series of educational programs “Sheet Number 1821”, addressed to the members of the Greek Libraries Network, is entitled “Timeless Library”. It was created on the occasion of the article by Johann Jakob Meyer “On the formation of a Greek national library, and about philology”, which was published in the Greek Chronos newspaper in 1824. The purpose of this specific workshop is for the children to understand, through the study of an archive, the importance of the first newspapers, the role that printing played in the struggle and the need to establish the National Library of Greece.
