Abstract
During the exhibition “‘Run on the waves of the terrible sea.’ 1821: The struggle at sea”, the Eugenides Foundation created and implemented the following educational programmes: 1. “Like a small ship that will catch a port” (in collaboration with the General State Archives); 2. “1821 waves: 200 years of freedom” and 3. “Stories of the sea: The Greek Revolution at sea”. Through the programmes, the students had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the management of archival sources and learn about the contribution of sailors to the Greek Revolution.
