Abstract
This online painting exhibition of artist Vangelis Tzermias, curated by the historian Louiza Karapidaki, includes 20 paintings with historical representations and portraits of fighters, in which the painter narrates, among other things, the Oath of the Greek Revolution Fighters to the symbols of the Faith. Through his work, Tzermias highlights the protagonists’ concord, devotion and absolute commitment to a common purpose, such as freedom, and at the same time he “liberates the forces” in a metaphysical way that is intertwined with the conscience of everyone.
