Abstract
This lecture presents the “Digital Archive 1821”. Issues about the transformation of research practices will be discussed, as will how to approach an historical event, such as the Greek Revolution, through the use of a digital archive. How does research through a digital archive alter the approach to the Greek Revolution? How do the visualisation techniques of the archive, the research environment and the historical thought relate to each other? What kind of transformations to the approaches of the past are brought about by an archive that is open to the public and in a state of continuous (re)construction?”
