Abstract
Aiantios Public Library of Atalanti, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Greece and Primary and Secondary Schools of the Municipality of Atalanti, held an annual Anniversary Educational Program entitled “The imprint of 1821 on Taladi and Lokrida”. The program aims to involve children in the history and historical monuments of their homeland in the historical context of the 1821 Revolution. Its objectives are the cultivation of historical memory and consciousness, the acquaintance of students with local history through oral narration, written texts, photographs, heirlooms, local costumes, maps, artworks, rescued buildings and local environment, forging ties with their homeland, gaining time-related perception and vision this historical event, the knowledge, the emergence and dissemination of information about local history.
