Abstract
The Society for Macedonian Studies is organising, as part of its events for the celebration of the bicentenary since the 1821 Revolution, an international scientific conference entitled “Macedonia in the 1821 Revolution: Political, social, economic and historiographical dimensions”. The conference will be held online on 12-14 February 2021.
About 35 university professors and specialist researchers present the latest research and conclusions regarding the events of the Greek Revolution.
The aim of the conference is to assess the events and effects of the revolution in Macedonia and Mount Athos two centuries later, based on the new data of scientific research, as emerged mainly in the last four decades.
The conference shall end with a Round Table, during which the event of the national renaissance will be assessed.
